Colette was born March 4, 1942 in San Diego, CA. to Oliver and Pauline Evans and big sister Sandra. She graduated from San Diego High School and shortly thereafter went to work for San Diego’s own airline Pacific Southwest. This was followed with over 20 years of service with TWA.
She loved music, the arts and dance, studying ballet for 5 years before a serious knee injury led her to small parts in the Old Globe and Starlight Theatres.
Her love for all creatures great and small was especially evident in her passion for cats. Though she had no children of her own, she was a devoted Aunt and was adored by three nieces, Tanya, Shawna and Michelle.
Colette was also an accomplished painter, sculptor, and gourmet cook with a beautiful soprano voice, infectious laugh and bright smile that will be deeply missed.
