Mrs. Conchita C. Matias, age 64, died at San Diego Hospice Inpatient Care Unit, in San Diego, CA, on Sunday, January 16, 2011. She had passed away peacefully surrounded by her family after a 9-month battle with Pancreatic Cancer, which metastasized to the bone.
Conchita was born March 25, 1946, in Bantog, Asingan, Pangasinan, Philippines. She immigrated to the United States to make a better life for herself in turn helping out the family she left behind. In Pennsylvania, she continued her work as a nurse where she met the love of her life. After living in Maryland, Conchita, her husband and two small children moved to California. “Connie” continued her other life’s work caring for others as a nurse till symptoms of her cancer abruptly stopped her career in January 2011.
Conchita is survived by her husband, Domingo, her daughter Roseanne; her son Johnildy and his wife Amelia and her grandchildren Anjelique “AJ” & Jordan Dominic.
