

Connor Jeffrey McClemons was born in Sacramento, CA on August 7th,1996. He had an emergency C-sec due to a sudden drop in his heart rate. He lived in Sacramento with his Mother, Georgia Mc Clemons a veterinarian, and Jeff McClemons, an anesthesia tech. 23 months later, his family was joined by his little brother, William Matthew McClemons. During his toddler years, , he enjoyed stoller rides along the American River and his dog Bear, chasing the family cat, and any birds he could. He watched Bambi over and over. He had a blue blankie that was necessary in a crisis. He listened to baby beluga with Raffi. He played with his brother, and best bud down the road, Kyle. He wrestled with is two cousins, Jake and Adam Turner.
In 2000 when Connor was 4 y.o. the family had an opportunity to move back to Georgia’s home town of San Diego and be closer to Gramma and Grammpa. Here he was raised with his many cousins of similar age: Megan, Emily, Lindsay, Jordain, Mike, Josh, Angela, Samantha, Sydney, Alison, and Sara. In 2001, the McClemons purchased a house in the Otay Ranch suburbs and Connor resisted into Kindergarten in a brand new school, before their house was even built. He finished the 6th grade at Heritage Elementary making many friends, earning his black belt in Tai Kwan Do, playing winter baseball with Parkway Little League watching Land before time and Pokémon. He had his brother convinced he could speak Japanese. He had his childhood there that included many Christmas’, Easters, summers, and Halloweens. He would only order vanilla icecream from Baskin Robins. He was in middle school when he got his first lap top and the family moved mid-year in 2008 to Rancho San Diego where he attended Hillsdale Middle for 7th and 8th grade. His first day in a history class, the teacher asked if he wanted to take the test they were having on medieval times. He said sure, and actually aced the test because he played Ruins cape, an online game. Connor did very well in middle school, especially the 8th grade. He wore the same brown jacket for several years, hair in his eyes. He watched Harry Potter with his family and continued Pokémon and Yugi oh.
In 2010 Connor started Valhalla H.S. , the Summer before, began training with the Cross Country team. He was in Cross County all four years. He made so many friends through the team. Carbo loading parties that still continued till his passing. He went to Prom with Taylor Barber whom he dated for 3 years; he went to dances and birthday parties. He played Dungeons and Dragons with Connor Sheehan, Bret Cajka, and Tanner Ring. He worked one summer at Macy’s., and hated retail.
He was an honor grad and decided to attend Northern Arizona University in Environmental Engineering. He wanted the college life and enjoyed many friends. He toured the Grand Canyon, and later in 2017 hiked to the bottom and spent the night with his friends and their father. He took a Scuba class and got certified. After 2 ½ years at NAU, Connor decided that he did not care for his major but did not know what to change to. He decided to take a break and join the US Army with the intention to finish college later. He came home for the Summer of 2017 and hung with friends and family, and dated Bella .
Connor enlisted in the Army in August 2017. He had boot camp in Ft. Leonard Wood in Mo, one of the coldest winters on record. He told us stories of survival training on the week of Halloween when after the Sergeant gave them some candy, an alert for invasion came in. It was a zombie invasion. He survived boot camp and his two cousins, Bonnie Jean and Alison drove out to be there for him. He loved skating on the frozen ponds waiting for the bus to AIT. He loved the waffles, he hated guacamole and beans. He did well in AIT and Promoted on February 2, 2018. His parents went back to see him, and Bonnie Jean and Ryan attended also. On February 3rd he arrived at Ft. Lois, WA.
He was loved by ALL, not one enemy. He easily made friends, and tried to carry a load of depression that was too much of a burden. He refused help until it was too late. He was strong physically, intelligent, funny and handsome, but had a cross to bear of depression.
