Born to Manuel and Albina Ignacio on June 22, 1936, in Pasay City, Manila, Philippines, Dalisay was the second eldest of seven siblings. Throughout her life, she radiated a true, brilliant love and a selfless spirit, always placing the needs of others above her own.
A dedicated student, she earned her degree in Elementary Education in 1958 at the National University Manila and spent three years inspiring young minds as a second-grade teacher at Episfanio de los Santos Elementary. It was during this chapter of her life that she met her future husband, Leonides De Leon Guinto, Sr. of Bacoor, Cavite. Following his enlistment in the United States Navy in 1959, Dalisay immigrated to the United States.
Their journey together took them across the globe before they happily settled in San Diego, California, in 1974. Dalisay spent the remainder of her career serving as an electronics assembler at Kyocera Electronics, retiring on September 11, 2001, after decades of hard work and devotion to her family.
Dalisay was a devoted member of St. Charles Catholic Church in San Diego, where her life was anchored by an unwavering faith. She maintained a deep personal prayer life, finding strength in traditional practices like praying the Rosary, reciting Novenas, and reading scripture. Her profound devotion was beautifully mirrored in her actions, through faithful financial monthly contributions to the church she so dearly loved.
Dalisay is survived by her devoted husband, Leonides De Leon Guinto, Sr., and her loving children: Leonides (Sonny) Ignacio Guinto, Jr., Eldie-Mar Ignacio Guinto, Ted-Skip Ignacio Guinto, Liza-Jean Guinto Corpuz, and son-in-law Jan Anthony Corpuz. She was also the deeply loving and proud grandmother of Kristin Nicole Guinto and Cote Lu Guinto. Dalisay will always be cherished for her boundless compassion, fierce dedication to her family, and lifelong devotion to those she loved. Above all, she will be remembered as an extraordinary wife and mother.
The viewing will be held at Glen Abbey Memorial Park and Mortuary, in the Magnolia Room, located at 3838 Bonita Road, Bonita, CA. 91902, on September 29, 2026, from 5:00pm to 9:00pm.
The funeral services will take place at Glen Abbey Memorial and Mortuary, in the Magnolia Room, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
Interment will take place immediately following at Glen Abbey Memorial Park at 3838 Bonita Road, Bonita, CA, 91902 on September 30, 2026, from 11:30am to 12:00pm.
