David is not the type of person you can forget.. he made an impact on every person he was around and I will always remember him for his dedication to the people he loved.. I wish I could go back and relive every hilarious memory we have together. You are one of the best people I’ve ever known and  I will miss you forever. 

I am so sorry to hear about David.  He was a kind, well-mannered young man with a strong sense of responsibility.  I always think of him smiling…

I enjoyed being his teacher at Horizon.  Years after I retired, I took my granddaughter to Sea World.  The security guard looked familiar.  He recognized me and introduced himself.  I was so happy to see him and hear of his plans for the future…

I just wanted to send my thoughts and prayers out to your family. Both my son Aaron Hontucan and daughter Trinity Hontucan remember Tristan fondly. Even though they were younger (Horizon Panthers), class of 2014 and 2018 respectively, they both remarked on what a nice person Trinstan was. Our sincerest condolences! Revelation 21:7

When I first arrived at Seaworld I was immediately introduced to David by our Sargeant staff at FOP. Then we ran into each other again at Aquatica. Let me tell you he is a very hardworking caring guy. I remember when I wasn’t feeling ok at work and he kept checking on how I was in the office and didn’t mind bein in the sun to make sure I was good for the day. I’m still in disbelief that he’s gone. I just talked to him not long ago… my prayers go out to his family and best of friends.  I may have had just the first season at Seaworld getting to know him but he became my friend at work and I’m very grateful to have gotten to know him. You will forever be missed my friend. Keep working on your dance moves in heaven lol. Miss you.

My daughter works at SeaWorld and called me of the news of David.  I remember him in 7th and 8th grade. He was fun loving and a nice young man. I know he will be greatly missed. I send my love and prayers to you at such a sad time.

I moved down to San Diego in June of 2020 and didn't meet my first friends until my EMT course of February 2021. David being one of the first people I’d make contact with, he was so easy to talk to, he was funny, and very determined to accomplish a lot. Myself,  David, and our friends Josh, Liav, and Bianca would go onto make our “EMT Squad for the rest of the semester. Most of our study sessions would just turn into us blasting music, playing cards or whatever other fun stuff young adults in our mid 20s would do. The few times he couldn’t hang out with us it was due to him  putting in those hours at sea world working his butt off ! David was one of the first friends I met out here and I will never forget him and all the fun times we had ❤️🙏🏽

Dear Tristan family,
     I was David’s 7th and 8th grade teacher.  I will always remember his great smile.  I enjoyed his return visits to St. Pius. 
     The St. Pius community mourns with you although we know David is in the loving arms of God.

My heart is so sad upon hearing of the tragic passing of David.  I cannot imagine the pain David’s family is feeling.  But I do know that they will carry precious, beautiful memories of their loved son and brother.  I was blessed to know David for a few years of his elementary education.  He was such a great kid! May God grant His peace to the Tristen family during this time.  May David Rest In Peace.
