Dennis “Big Dee” Galido passed away on June 26, 2025 at the age of 50, leaving behind a legacy of strength, love, and humor that will echo in the lives of everyone who knew him. To know Big Dee was to know comfort. He made people feel at ease just by being himself. Big D was raw, real, and full of heart. If he had it, he gave it. If he didn’t, you probably didn’t need it anyway. He shot straight, no sugarcoating, but his love hit even harder. Loyal to a fault, wild at times, and always down to ride. Big D didn’t just walk into a room. He owned it. He made you feel like you belonged no matter where you came from. Friends became family, and strangers didn’t stay strangers for long. He lived loud, loved hard, and left a mark you won’t forget. Big D was the realest and he’ll never be replaced.
Dennis leaves behind his beloved wife, Michelle Galido, and two children who were his heart, Reinalynn (Bubbles) Galido and Ethan Galido. They were his pride and joy, and everything he did, he did with them in mind. He was a deeply devoted husband and a proud, loving father who showed his kids what love looks like in the everyday moments, the quiet support, and the unwavering belief in who they are. And if he were here right now, he’d say what he always said before hanging up the phone, walking out the door, or ending a conversation: “I love you more.”
We’ll carry him with us in the way we love each other, in the way we keep showing up, and in the way we make people feel welcome and seen. He didn’t just leave a mark. He built a foundation. And we will honor him by continuing to build on it with love, laughter, and maybe a few one-liners in his honor. "I'm Big D, bitch, and don't you forget it."
