Diosdado Dizon Samson passed away after 13 years of battling a long illness with coronary artery disease, above right knee amputation and dementia with severe cognitive deficits. He was born on Dec. 28, 1928 in Concepcion, Tarlac, Philippines. Son of Policarpio Samson and Basilia Dizon. He is survived by his wife: Trinidad Samson; his two children: Rolando and Delia; daughter-in-law: Esmeralda; son-in-law: Rolando Garcia; Grandchildren: Ryan, Roland, Maria, Lady, Krystle, Rodel and nine precious great grandchildren.
Diosdado was the last survivor of nine siblings. He will be remembered most for his unconditional love for his family and friends whom he was a great provider for. His professional career included working as an auto mechanic, bus driver, personal family driver and machine operator at the Clark Air Force Base in the Philippines. One of his favorite hobbies included his love for playing the game of basketball.
He came to the United States in 1987 and settled in San Diego, California.
A Visitation for Diosdado will be held Tuesday, April 25, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at The Magnolia Room. A Funeral Service will occur Wednesday, April 26, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at The Magnolia Room. A Committal Service will follow from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Glen Abbey Memorial Park.
