Dominga Halili Ladrido, age 91, of San Diego, California. A wife, a mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who passed away surrounded by her family on October 18, 2018. Dominga, known to everyone as “Nanay,” was born on July 17, 1927 to Miguel Halili and Cerelina de Leon. She is the fourth of seven children. Nanay married the love of her life, Nick, at the age of 17. Together they were blessed with 10 children; 5 boys and 5 girls.
Nanay lived her life to the fullest. She loved to travel anywhere and enjoyed visits from her children, grandchildren, and extended families.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband (Nicasio) and siblings (Luming, Ben, Laura, and Lourdes). She is survived by her 10 children: Benjamin (Beverly) Ladrido, Robert (Fely) Ladrido, Rebecca (Tom) George, Gloria (Dante) Basilio, Dante (Nolita) Ladrido, Ernesto (Carmen) Ladrido, Fe (Ron) Noble, Alma Velasquez, Lulu (Willie) Domingo, and Carlos (Gigi) Ladrido, 18 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 2 sisters, 1 brother, nieces and nephews.
Families, friends, and others, whose lives were touched by Nanay, are invited on Thursday, November 8, 2018 from 5:00 to 9:00 PM at Glen Abbey Funeral Home, The Little Chapel of the Roses for a celebration of her life. Funeral service will be held Friday, November 9, 2018 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at Glen Abbey Memorial Park and Mortuary, 3838 Bonita Road, Bonita, CA 91902.
In lieu of flowers, donation to the American Diabetes Association in Nanay’s name will be greatly appreciated.
