Donna Marie Winger was born in Revere, Massachusetts on November 15th, 1964 to Maurice (Mac) and Louise McMahon. She was shortly joined 19 months later by her sister Kimberly and 4 years later by her brother Bruce. In 1970, the family moved to San Diego while Mac continued his civil service career serving the Navy as an engineer.
Donna grew up enjoying playing softball and soccer, but was also an avid reader. She graduated from Castle Park High School in Chula Vista in 1983 and soon after started her own civil service career with the Navy, serving over 27 years. She was blessed with her son Connor in 1993 and he brought her the greatest joy in life.
Donna leaves behind a son, Connor Karhut, husband John Winger, step son Clay Winger, father Maurice McMahon, step mother Louette McMahon, brother Bruce McMahon (Bettina), sister Kimberly Kruzel (Rick), nieces Lauren and Ashlynn Kruzel, step sister Lesa Mosley, nephew Josh Mosley, Uncle Bruce McMahon (Pamela), and cousins Paris and Kevin McMahon.
Donna enjoyed spending time reading, attending weekly Taking Off Pounds Sensibly (TOPS) meetings, shopping, and spending time with family. She had the kindest heart and most generous spirit. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her and we look forward to seeing her again one day.
