Doug if I could say another thing to you, it would be that You were so fatherly to me during the random times we were around each other. You cared for me and wanted to make sure I was safe and you always updated me on things and Mo. You saved me one time and it will always stay with me. You are our neighborhood grumpy cat who only meant well.. thank you so much for loving us🥲.. You are always missed, you and your birthday pranks. Please keep looking out for us. We love you forever and ever and appreciate you always. Thank you for being our friend. Thank you for being an angel even when you were here on earth. We cherish memories made with you and we will do our best to love your loved ones and be kind and accepting the people we meet. Your legacy lives on, Dougie!!

Doug is an amazing human being. I met him through Monique, his bestest homegirl to have ever lived. 

Doug is the type to always look out for the people he cares about in special ways that only Dougie can. I would have never thought in a million years that we would get along, but life is funny like that. 

Doug had a way in entertaining and making people feel at home or seen in general. Doug appreciated people and people appreciate Doug. Doug makes Chula Vista what it is. A place of authenticity and United family type of love in the atmosphere. 

I'm sorry we couldn't make more memories, Doug. I know that you will send signs from heaven to let us know that you are still around. We love and miss you tons!

Thank you Young family for posting all these wonderful photos. It’s nice to see Doug as a child and how his love for fishing started early.

I have been working together with Doug for over 30 years, and was really shocked to hear about his death.  I remember he was talking with me one day and mentioned that he had a illness.  Doug was a really funny guy to sit with outside on tables for breaks.  He always made me laugh and I 
know I will definately miss him. You will definately be missed by us all!

Doug made a beautiful difference in my life. I only got to spend a few months working with him, but he always made me laugh. He genuinely looked out for and took care of others—but he wouldn’t want you to notice. He was a diamond among us, and he is deeply missed. I am so sorry for your loss. Thank you for sharing him with all of us.

What I wouldn’t give to hear another story & smoke another cigarette. 
Ater  my grandmother passed away you said to me. “It never stops hurting you just get used to the pain. “ those words couldn’t be any truer.  I wish I had seen u when I was thinking about u. Most of all I wish I hadn’t let life come between  us.
