October 28, 1983 – November 4, 2025
Earl “Chad” Salazar Aranzanso was born on October 28, 1983, at the Agana, Guam Naval Hospital. On November 4, 2025, he returned peacefully to Our Lord after suffering a massive stroke related to high blood pressure.
From a young age, Chad lived life with remarkable energy and enthusiasm. He was an active, athletic child who excelled in many sports, earning numerous championship trophies and often being named MVP. His leadership talents emerged early as well—during high school, he served as battalion commander, a role that inspired him to join the U.S. Army at just 17 years old.
Chad’s military service took him across the world. Stationed in Germany, he was deployed to several conflict zones, including Bosnia, Kosovo, and Iraq. During these years, he formed deep and lasting bonds with fellow soldiers—friendships that grew into true brotherhood.
After his service, Chad built a successful civilian career as an IT manager in Oahu, Hawaii, where he worked for seven years before returning home to San Diego in October 2022.
Chad was a man of many talents. He was a gifted writer who expressed himself through meaningful poetry, original songs, and rap music. His creativity, humor, and intoxicating laughter brought joy to everyone who knew him. He offered genuine friendship, always showing up with loyalty, warmth, and a big heart.
He is survived by his mother Lettee; his sister JoanMay; Auntie Lilia, his father Richard, Meeshelle, numerous cousins he grew up with; Aunts and Uncles, extended family; and many close friends who loved him dearly.
Chad leaves behind cherished memories, deep friendships, and a legacy of kindness, humor, and love.
