She was born to parents Teodoro Agpoon and Martha Sapupo in Cavite, Philippines. She was the youngest of four children, including her siblings Eduardo, Perlita, and Sonia. She was the only one in her family to immigrate to the United States.
She married the late Emmanuel Manalili in the 1980s. They spent their whole lives together in San Diego, California. Ederlinda was widowed when Emmanuel suddenly passed from a heart attack in 1996.
Ederlinda spent more than 30 years as a Production Technician with the biotech company Hybritech (later Beckman Coulter). She was a strong and loving single mom to her only child, Jennifer. She loved music, watching cooking shows on Food Network, taking walks, gardening and making new friends. She was patient, kind, and always hospitable. She was always welcoming her home to people who needed shelter or comfort. She was a strong wife, mother, and friend. And she will always hold a special place in the hearts of everyone who met her and loved her.
She is survived by her her only child, her daughter Jennifer.
A visitation for Ederlinda will be held Wednesday, October 6, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Glen Abbey Memorial Park and Mortuary, 3838 Bonita Road, Bonita, CA 91902. A funeral service will occur Thursday, October 7, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Glen Abbey's "Little Chapel of the Roses", 3838 Bonita Road, Bonita, California 91902. A graveside service will occur Thursday, October 7, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Glen Abbey Memorial Park, 3838 Bonita Road, Bonita, CA 91902.
