Eddie was born to parents Benito and Virginia Almario in San Fernando, Pampanga, Philippines. Eddie was the sixth of seven children and the youngest of five boys. On his birthday in 1985, he migrated to San Diego with his parents and siblings to join their brother Ruperto, who was serving in the U.S. Navy. The Almario Family first shared a small apartment together in National City as they began their new life in the United States. Eventually they moved into their home on Parkland Way.
On January 3, 1988, Eddie returned to the Philippines to marry the love of his life Lolita. The two were elementary school classmates and grew up in the same barrio of Magliman. They were college sweethearts who started dating each other when they were nineteen years old. While in college, Eddie often skipped his classes to visit Lolita at work, or to take her out on dates. In 1991, Lolita left her family behind to finally join her husband and start a family together in the United States. After ten years of trying, Lolita and Eddie had their miracle baby, Jessica on Christmas Eve in 1998. Jessica, their only child, was born prematurely. The family of three were inseparable. Eddie worked for various companies including Wavetek, General Dynamics, Kyocera, Qualcomm, and most recently General Atomics, where he was happily employed for fifteen years. He treated all of his friends like family. He stayed in touch with and regularly met with his childhood friends, high school friends, college friends, and friends he had previously worked with. Taco Tuesdays were his favorite. Every Tuesday, Eddie loved to meet up with his friends from work and grab fish tacos from his go-to taco spot, "El Sabor de la Baja." The Almarios loved to host their friends at home, and opened up their home to everybody.
Eddie was an avid sports fan, specifically football. He often took his daughter Jessica to watch the San Diego Chargers practice at Chargers Park. He also took his wife and daughter to watch the San Diego Padres play at Petco Park. Eddie enjoyed listening to music and watching movies. He frequently listened to classic and soft rock. His favorite radio station was 101.5 KGB. Some of the musical artists he listened to most were Eric Clapton, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, and Air Supply. Eddie loved to watch action and comedy movies.
