Elizabeth Vega-Sandoval

We express our gratitude to God for the grace and divine mercy that allowed Elizabeth Vega Sandoval to be called to eternal life with her Creator and Savior on March 26, 2025, following a courageous battle against cancer. Elizabeth was born in Mexico City, June 1974, as the second daughter to Francisco Vega Avalos and Estela Sandoval de Vega. She spent her life surrounded by her beloved parents, siblings Laura, Francisco and Suset, her brother-in-law Michael, her sister-in-law Ofelia, and her nephew and nieces, Pablo, Valery, Ofelia Abigail, and Anna.

Elizabeth embraced Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior from a young age, dedicating her life to serving God and glorifying him through her educational and professional achievements, always recognizing that it was thanks to him that she excelled.

"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. James 1:17"

As part of her educational journey, she received a scholarship to a private French high school in Mexico. After moving to San Diego, CA during her teenage years, she graduated with honors from Mar Vista High School. Elizabeth graduated Cum Laude with triple majors in Political Science, Economics, and French from UC San Diego, and earned a Master's in Business Administration with Honors from the University of Southern California.

Professionally, Elizabeth excelled as a Product and Marketing leader in the financial service industry. Throughout twenty-five years she held prominent positions at leading U.S. companies including Schwab, Intuit, Experian, and ultimately as Vice President of Product Management, Advisory Services at LPL Financial.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Elizabeth was deeply passionate about her faith and her community. She was an active member of Canyons Church (formerly First Baptist Church of San Diego) and generously supported ministries and churches she was part of like El Galileo Eterno Baptist church in Mexico City, Primera Iglesia Bautista de San Ysidro, Light House Baptist Church in Lemon Grove, as well as pastors and missionaries through the National Baptist Convention in Mexico. Elizabeth also volunteered her time teaching children at church, at non-profit organizations, and leading Bible studies online.

Elizabeth lived a rich and fulfilling life, traveling across Europe, Asia, and North America. She resided in Lyon, France for a year during her college years and subsequently a couple of years in San Francisco, California, before settling in San Diego to be close to her family. In her leisure time, she enjoyed spending time with her parents and loved ones, hiking in Torrey Pines, and walking around Santee Lakes.

Elizabeth will always be remembered as a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, friend, and mentor who always seek to be close to her family members, friends and family in Christ.

"I've fought the good fight, I've finished the race, I've kept the faith. For the rest, the crown of righteousness is stored for me, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will give me on that day; and not only to me, but also to all who love his coming."

Con gran reverencia expresamos nuestra gratitud a Dios por la gracia y misericordia divina que le permitió a Elizabeth Vega Sandoval ser llamada a vida eterna con su Creador y Salvador el 26 de Marzo del año 2025, tras una valiente batalla contra el cáncer. Elizabeth nació en la Ciudad de México, en Junio de 1974, como la segunda hija de Francisco Vega Avalos y Estela Sandoval de Vega. Pasó su vida rodeada de sus queridos padres y hermanos Laura, Francisco y Suset, sus cuñados Michael y Ofelia, y sus sobrinos Pablo, Valery, Ofelia Abigail y Anna.

Elizabeth aceptó a Jesucristo como su Señor y Salvador desde una temprana edad, dedicando su vida a Dios sirviendole y glorificandole a través de sus logros académicos y profesionales, reconociendo que todo fue gracias a él.

“Toda buena dádiva y todo don perfecto desciende de lo alto, del Padre de las luces, en el cual no hay mudanza, ni sombra de variación. Santiago 1:17”

Logró una educación distinguida, recibiendo una beca para una escuela secundaria privada Francesa en Ciudad de México, graduándose con honores de Mar Vista High School, graduándose Cum Laude con triple carrera universitaria Ciencias Políticas, Economía y Francés de UC San Diego y obteniendo una Maestría en Administración de Empresas con honores de la Universidad del Sur de California.

Profesionalmente, Elizabeth destacó como líder en servicios de mercadotecnia de productos financieros. En el transcurso de veinticinco años ocupó posiciones corporativas en compañías líderes de EE.UU. incluyendo Schwab, Intuit, Experian y finalmente en LPL Financial como Vicepresidenta de Gestión de Productos y Servicios de Asesoría Financiera.

Elizabeth estaba profundamente apasionada por su fe y comunidad, participando como miembra activa de Canyons Church y apoyando generosamente a iglesias y ministerios de las que fue parte como Iglesia Bautista El Galileo Eterno en Ciudad de México, Primera Iglesia Bautista de San Ysidro, Lighthouse Baptist Church Lemon Grove, así como a pastores y misioneros por medio de la Convención Nacional Bautista de México. Elizabeth también ofreció su tiempo enseñando a niños en la iglesia, en organizaciones sin fines de lucro y dirigiendo estudios bíblicos en línea.

Dios le permitió a Elizabeth disfrutar de una vida plena, viajando por Europa, Asia y América del Norte. Residió en Lyon, Francia, durante un año en sus años universitarios y posteriormente un par de años en San Francisco, California, antes de residir finalmente en San Diego para estar cerca de su familia. En su tiempo libre, disfrutaba pasar tiempo con sus padres y seres queridos, e ir de caminatas en Torrey Pines y Santee Lakes.

Siempre será recordada como la amada hija, hermana, tía, amiga, consejera que busco estar siempre con la familia de sangre y espiritual.
