Emako N. Mendoza
August 20, 1935 – December 24, 2011
Emako N. Mendoza was born on August 20, 1935 to Mr. and Mrs. Tubata in Kumamoto, Japan and was raised Sasebo, Japan. At a young age, Emako met and fell in love with James G. Mendoza, and the couple happily exchanged wedding vows on October 17, 1957. The wedding ceremony was held at St. Mary’s Church in Sasebo, Japan.
Emako and James were blessed with 1 child, Kevin Mendoza. Later in life they received the joy of 4 grandchildren, James, Dean, Eric and Melanie.
Fortunately, Emako enjoyed what she did for a living, being a loving housewife. In her spare time. She enjoyed, gardening, especially planting fruit trees. Emako also loved studying Japanese culture and history.
Emako was always happy and willing to share her interests with others.
Emako left us on December 24, 2011 at the age of 76. She passed away at Paradise Valley Hospital in National City, California. She is survived by her loving husband, James G. Mendoza, her son Kevin Mendoza, daughter-in-law Arlicita Mendoza, grandchildren, James, Eric, Dean and Melanie Mendoza. Services were handled by Glen Abbey Mortuary.
A Funeral Service was held at The Little Chapel of the Roses in Bonita, California on January 4th, 2012. Emako N. Mendoza was later laid to rest at Glen Abbey Memorial Park in Bonita, California.
