Emma J. (Smith) Prince

Emma Jo (Smith) Prince, age 88, of Spring Valley, California entered into her eternal rest on Saturday May 19, 2018. Emma was born December 26, 1929 in Rainbow, Texas, to Myron Royce and Ida Myrtle Smith. The sixth of eight children, she is predeceased by four sisters and 3 brothers (one who died as an infant).

She was a loving wife and mother for 71 years and brought joy to her family all of her days. She is survived by four children Linda Crow (Jay), Pamela Kittle (Rush), Robert Prince (Anna), and Darla Prince. She is predeceased by 2 Grandchildren, and is survived by 8 Grandchildren, 26 Great Grandchildren and 12 Great-Great Grandchildren.

Emma Jo was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lemon Grove, CA for 47 years. Many of those years spent in teaching and serving in many of the ministries there. She was the "Bakery Lady" at Lucky Stores for 19 years and retired in 1985 with 19 years of service. She loved her many pets, camping, gardening and being out of doors whenever possible.

A visitation for Emma Jo will be held Thursday, June 7, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Glen Abbey Mortuary Chapel, 3838 Bonita Road, Bonita, CA 91902. A funeral service will occur Friday, June 8, 2018 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at First Baptist Church Lemon Grove, 2910 Main Street, Lemon Grove, CA 91945. Burial will be at 2:30 PM at Glen Abbey 3838 Bonita Rd., Bonita, CA 91902. In lieu of flowers, please make your gift to First Baptist Church, Lemon Grove, CA and designate it for the building fund.
