She was born in Honolulu, Hawaii in December 1945, was raised in Pangasinan, Philippines, then moved back to Hawaii in her early 30s. She eventually moved to Riverside County and lived in Hemet for several decades until the 2020 pandemic. She then lived in San Diego with her son, Raymund.
Erlinda was blessed with unparalleled beauty and a lovely singing voice, which enabled her to join local music bands in her youth that further enhanced her talent as a female crooner. She enjoyed meeting and singing with several popular music artists of the Philippines and in later years hosting some of them as friends in her home in Hemet, California.
Erlinda enjoyed travelling and had visited all the western US states all the way up to Canada and several parts of Mexico through cross-country road trips and camping adventures. Closer to home, her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She spread warmth and love by cooking the best meals for her family and friends.
Making elaborate floral arrangements and decorative bows were some of Erlinda’s many creative outlets. She had an artistic flair for interior design and took pleasure in showcasing her home, especially during the holidays. She enjoyed gardening, catching up with friends over the phone, and was an avid listener to her favorite music artists of the ‘50s and ‘60s.
Erlinda is preceded in death by both parents, her late husband, Clifford Musick, a son, three brothers and one sister. She is survived by her eight children and their spouses, Reynold, Jocelyn, Maria Victoria, Minerva, Madonna, Alex Von, Raymund, and Cesar; her younger sisters, Leilani, Lealoha, Winona, Rosaline, and Lisa; 19 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. She was a dear friend to so many and will forever be a bright guiding light to her family and loved ones.
