

Everyone’s life is the sum total of all of the people they have met, the things they have done, the places they have gone. Erlindo S. Duka was no exception. He was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew him best, Erlindo will be remembered as an exceptional person.
Erlindo’s life journey began on October 23, 1946. His parents' were Exequiel D. and Valeriana Duka. He was raised with seven siblings Teresita, Evelyn, Exequiel Jr., Monserrat, Emerson, Virginia and Daniel. Erlindo was usually involved in all sorts of activities with his family sharing many life experiences over the years.
Erlindo attended and finished his elementary schooling at Baguio Central, Phillipines. Making that difficult transition from adolescence to adulthood he graduated from Baguio High school. Erlindo attended the University of Phillipines in Baguio City where he took pre-medical classes as well and Political science and Journalism. He graduated from the University in 1968. One of Erlindo’s accomplishments was he migrated to the United States in 1988.
How a person performs in the workplace can be a reflection on how they lived their life. Fortunately, Erlindo enjoyed what he did for a living. Showing strong work ethics, Erlindo worked diligently and did his best to succeed in his career as a writer and publisher.
Erlindo S. Duka left us on December 22, 2012. He passed away Alvarado Hospital in San Diego, California from a lingering illness. He was 66 years old. He is survived by his long time girlfriend Letty S. Bustria, his brothers Exequiel S. Duka Jr., Daniel S. Duka and his sisters Teresita D. Adriano, Evelyn D. Soriano, Monserrat D. Fernandez and Virginia S. Calpito along with nieces and nephews any many relatives. Services were handled by Glen Abbey Mortuary on Sunday, January 6, 2013. Erlindo was laid to rest at Manila North Cemetery La Loma, Manila, Phillipines.
So this is Erlindo’s life, the sum of the man that he became. Simply stated, Erlindo was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by his family and friends as being caring and giving, someone who was a vital part of their lives. He will be missed and we love him. May his soul rest peacefully in his eternal life. Erlindo leaves behind him a legacy of lifelong friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life Erlindo S. Duka touched will always remember him with a smile.
