Eugene Floyd Smith

Eugene F. Smith Sr. departed this world to be with our heavenly Father January 26, 2013. Eugene will be remembered as a wonderful partner, brother, grandfather, and most importantly a wonderful father.

Eugene is survived by his partner of the home Kathy Garcia, whom before his illness was his long time love and companion of over 20 plus years. His sister Dottie Cartron, his son David C. Smith of OKC, OK, and daughter Lisa G. Welchel of Tecumseh OK. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Eugene is proceeded in death by his father William Smith, mother Gladys M. Thompson, sister Page Aker, brother William Peyton Smith, daughter Marlinda Smith, and son who also recently passed away Eugene (Geno) F. Smith Jr.

Eugene was retired from United States Air Force and was also a decorated war veteran. He enjoyed all sports such as FOOTBALL, baseball, even fishing. His favorite being NFL-Eugene was a devoted San Diego Chargers Fan! Eugene was very active all his life. He liked going for walks and loved to travel. He traveled all over with his partner Kathy to numerous destinations. One of his favorites was Las Vegas.

Eugene touched the lives of everyone he met, he will always have a place in each of our hearts that will always be filled with the many wonderful memories that each of us have, memories that will be cherished forever. He will be forever missed and loved. Memorial services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013 at 3838 Bonita Road, CA., Glen Abbey Memorial.
