In the life Eugenia built and the love she gave, she was a steady presence—devoted in heart, faithful in spirit, and generous in the quiet, enduring ways that matter most. Her kindness was not simply felt in moments of need, but in the thoughtful care she offered day after day, shaped by resilience and guided by a wisdom that came from lived experience.
Eugenia met her husband, Vicente “Ben,” in Guam. Together they married and raised a family of seven children: Betsie, Marie, Linda, Yvonne, Debra, Vinnie, and Theresa. She was blessed with eleven grandchildren and many great grand children, each one a continuation of the family she cherished so deeply.
She found joy in the simple rhythms of everyday life—especially cooking, and the pleasure of visiting Barona Casino. Her faith remained an important part of her days, and she enjoyed going to church at St Joseph Cathedral, making the trip by “limo” bus and trolly, a routine that reflected both her independence and steadfast devotion.
Affectionately known as Nana and Mama Jean, Eugenia will be remembered with deep respect and lasting gratitude—for the love she gave freely, the strength she carried with grace, and the thoughtful way she cared for those around her.
