

Pedring was born Catalino O. San Diego on April 24, 1924, in the Barrio of Olongapo town of Subic Zambales, Philippines, to the late Mariano San Diego and Clemencia O. San Diego. He later changed his name to Federico O. San Diego. He was a World War II veteran who fought the enemy under the command of the U. S. Army. He married Soledad Farase Nito on January 16, 1953. He was retired at Service Craft Department, formerly US Naval Base Subic Bay, Philippines as a Federal employee, after 35+ years of service. He immigrated to the US in 1984 and worked at Naval Amphibious Base Club Coronado. He loved fishing, bowling, playing pool and watching sports. Above all else, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and a friend. He will be missed.
Pedring was preceded in death by his wife Soledad N. San Diego.
He is survived by his nine children; Frederick San Diego (Juliet) of San Diego, CA, Carmencita Tizon of the Philippines, Estrellita Balading of the Philippines, Emeline Harden (Kim) of San Diego, CA, Federico San Diego Jr. of San Diego, CA, Carlos San Diego (Alejandra) of National City, CA, Erlie Edmonds (Eddie) of Summerville, SC, Perla Feliciano (Allen) of Chula Vista, CA and Edna Madrid of Chula Vista, CA.
