Freddy was born on November 19, 1959 in Coronado, California to Luis & Dolores Reza. Freddy resided in San Diego with his high school sweetheart and four devoted children.
Freddy started his successful career at San Diego Gas & Electric Company on September 10, 1983.
Freddy was hired as a General Laborer then worked his way to Helper, he entered the Lineman Apprenticeship Program where his family watched him work hard studying day and night and made them all very proud as he accomplished his goal to journey out as an Electrical Lineman.
Through Freddy’s years he had many accomplishments and worked countless hours missing family events, holidays and weekends to provide for his family. He was also a part of the recovery efforts in the San Diego fires (Harris, Genito, Rice, Witch) in 2007 and also traveled to New York in 2012 to help with the Hurricane Sandy recovery.
After 36 years with San Diego Gas & Electric Freddy retired in December of 2018 where he celebrated his successful career with family, friends and colleagues.
Some of Freddy’s loves besides spending time with his family included fishing, cooking and grilling. Freddy was always the life of the party in any crowd or event. You would most definitely find him on the dance floor showing off his moves, he was the one cracking the jokes, stirring the pot to get a rise from you or pulling pranks which he was most famously known usually using chili peppers he grew. You also could find him at the Swap meet looking for antiques in the junk aisles where he later in life found his new hobbies of coin collecting and teaching himself how to play the electric guitar.
Freddy is survived by his wife Monica, who together created a beautiful family and shared 40+ years of love and memories, four grateful and proud children, Christina, Freddie, Alisa, Sandra and five grandchildren who were the light of his world, Evan, Reign, Juliet, Braelyn and Alisandra.
Freddy lived life his way and his love and humor will truly be missed by all who knew him
