

Everyone’s life is the sum total of all of the people they have met, the things they have done, the places they have gone. Flaviano Madarang Abalos, Jr., was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew him best, Flaviano will be remembered as a very exceptional person.
Flaviano was born on September 8, 1936 to Flaviano Rayray Abalos, Sr. and Maura Macaraeg Madarang in Aringuay La Union, Philippines. Flaviano was also raised in Aringuay until 6th grade teen years. He lived in Santa Cruz, Zambales, Philippines with his father and step mother Angela Madarang. Flaviano had one sister Chrstina Abalos Blanco and Alex M. Abalos from first nuptial and from second nuptial Ignacio M. Abalos, Segundina Abalos Lopez, Nicholas M. Abalos and Luis M. Abalos.
A typical teenager, making that critical transition from adolescence to adulthood, Flaviano attended the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines in his Sophmore year. He left College and enlisted into the United States Navy in Sangley Cavite, Philippines, then transferred to the training center in San Diego, there he was unable to obtain a degree in Law.
Flaviano exchanged wedding vows with Aurora Chong Buttain. Empathic and loyal Flaviano was committed to making his new family happy.
While everything a person does in life contributes to who they grow into, it is ultimately the same person who holds the most influence on the next generation. Flaviano was blessed with a daughter Mariple B. Abalos and three sons, Flaviano B. Abalos, III (aka: Jon), Omar B. Abalos and Vladimir B. Abalos. Flaviano did his best to fulfill their needs, raising his children in a positive and nurturing environment.
How a person performs in the workplace can be a reflection on how they live their life. Fortunately, Flaviano
enjoyed what he did for a living. Flaviano worked as a Private Officer 1, MS in the Navy until retirement.
Showing strong work ethics, he worked diligently and did his best to succeed. He was awared “Good Conduct” award. He was a Butler for several prestige mansions, he often called himself as a “Confident”. Flaviano enjoyed his leisure time in gardening, planting fruits and vegetables. He was voted to have had the best garden in Annopolis, Maryland.
Flaviano passed away due to cardiac arrest due to complications of Alzheimer’s disease on July 22, 2016. He is survived by his daughter Mariple Abalos and sons, Jon, Omar and Vladimir. His grandchildren Alexa and Gabriel Gonzalez. His brothers Alex and Nick, Sister Dina and Stepmother Angela. Flaviano leaves many other family members and friends to cherish his memory.
Viewing services for Flaviano Madarang Abalos, Jr. are being handled by Glen Abbey Mortuary. Visitation services are on Thursday, August 4, 2016 5:00 pm to 9:00 p.m. and Friday, August 5, 2016, from 5pm to 9pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, August 6, at 10:00 am at St. Michael Catholic Church, San Diego, California.
Flaviano will be laid to rest in Glen Abbey Memorial Park in Bonita, California on Saturday, August 6, 2016.
Simply stated, Flaviano was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by his family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. He leaves behind the legacy of a loving family, life-long friendships and many cherished memories.
