

Francisco Javier Acosta, better known as Frank, or big Harv passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 25, 2025, at the age of 83. Born on March 27, 1942, in Mexico, Frank's life was a testament to hard work, dedication, and love for his family and community.
In 1969, Frank married the love of his life, Bernadette, with whom he shared a beautiful journey until her passing. Together, they raised three children: Tina, Harvey, and Theresa, seven grandchildren: Brianna, Leanna, Erika, David, Christopher, Destiny and Vanessa, and nine great grandchildren: Malia, Angelina, Aniyah, Lelia, Isabella, Ava, Gianni, Carlee, and Miles. Frank was a devoted father, always putting his family first and instilling in them the values of kindness and generosity.
A veteran, Frank proudly served in the army, where he developed a strong sense of discipline and camaraderie. After his service, he channeled his entrepreneurial spirit into establishing "Mr. Tar Roofing," a successful business that became a staple in the community for over 20 years. Known for his integrity and dedication, Frank's work was highly regarded by all who knew him.
Frank was a man of deep faith, guided by his Catholic beliefs, which were evident in his everyday actions. He was known for his infectious humor and ability to bring laughter to any room. His jokes and light-hearted nature left a lasting impression on those around him, making him a cherished friend and confidant.
Throughout his life, Frank exhibited a selfless and caring nature, always ready to lend a helping hand or offer a word of encouragement. His admirable qualities and zest for life inspired many and will continue to resonate in the hearts of those who knew him.
A memorial service for Francisco will be held Friday, May 23, 2025 from 1:00pm to 2:00pm at the Chapel of the Roses, 3838 Bonita Road, Bonita, CA 91902. Immediately following the memorial service the graveside service will occur from 2:00pm to 2:30pm at Glen Abbey Memorial Park, 3838 Bonita Road, Bonita, CA 91902. Following the graveside service the family invites you to a reception that will take place from 2:30pm to 4:30pm at the Chapel of the Roses Patio.
Frank's journey has left an indelible mark, and he will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate to know him. His spirit will live on in the memories and stories shared by those who loved him.
