Francisco Ayson Castillo

Everyone’s life is the sum total of all of the people they have met, the things they have done, the places they have gone. Francisco Ayson Castillo was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew him best, Francisco will be remembered as a very exceptional person with a memorable smile.

Francisco was born on January 31, 1924 in Dagupan City, Pangasinan, Philippines to Guillermo and Paulina Castillo and was the youngest of two brothers Leonardo and Crispin.

He exchanged wedding vows with Adelaida Fortin on April 22, 1956. Empathic and loyal, Francisco was committed to making his new family happy.

While everything a person does in life contributes to who they grow into, it is ultimately the same person who holds the most influence on the next generation. Francisco was blessed with four children, Lolita, Cynthia, Teresita and Anthony. Francisco was later in life blessed again with eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

How a person performs in the workplace can be a reflection on how they live their life. Fortunately, Francisco

enjoyed what he did for a living. He was a 2nd Class Petty Officer. He received recognition for his excellent writing skills in the Administration Personnel Dept. After serving 20 years in the Navy, he worked at Balboa Hospital in San Diego for 22 years and received awards for being an exceptional employee.

Francisco enjoyed the arts, kept up on current events by reading his favorite magazines “The Times” and “National Geographic”, gardening and dancing. At special events he didn’t hesitate to step up to the dance floor & show his good moves. One of his favorite songs was “I left my Heart in San Francisco.” He loved creativity, especially in the areas of design & decorating and always wanted to be in beautiful surroundings. He was a well-groomed man; and his attitude, quality and quantity of work was excellent. Not only did he show these characteristics, he was a great provider, a compassionate & humble man. He lived a prosperous life of 92 years. His family highly praised him to be a true gentlemen and the most wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather in their lives.

He is survived by his loving wife, 4 children, 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He also leaves many other family members and friends to cherish his memory.

Francisco was a good and kind man, an individual who will for all time be remembered by his family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. He leaves behind the legacy of a loving family, life-long friendships and many cherished memories.

Services for Francisco Ayson Castillo are being handled by Glen Abbey Mortuary. Visitation services will be held on Thursday, April 21 and Friday, April 22, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be Saturday, April 23, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in Chula Vista, California.

Francisco will be laid to rest at Glen Abbey Memorial Park in Bonita, California on Saturday, April 23, 2016.
