Francisco V Gomez, 92, passed away on October 6, 2026. He was born on December 10, 1933, in Villa Obregón, (Cañadas) Jalisco, Mexico, to Antonio Gomez Gonzalez and Virginia Villalobos Gomez. One of twelve children, Francisco carried forward the steady values learned early in life—values that shaped a long life marked by steadfast devotion to family, principled living, and quiet strength. He was a resident of Potrero, California.
Through years of hard work, Francisco built a life defined by responsibility and integrity. He worked as a Custom House Broker in import and export, a role that reflected his diligence and reliability. It was through his work that he met his wife, Rosa Gomez, beginning a partnership grounded in loyalty, faith, and enduring love.
On November 28, 1959, Francisco married the love of his life, Rosa Estela Brambila. Together they raised six children: Evelyn, Maria Isabel, Antonio, Daniela, Francisco Jr., and David Esteban. Francisco is survived by his wife, five children, six grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Maria Isabel.
A devoted provider and a true family man, Francisco expressed his love in the steady ways that matter most—showing up, working hard, and giving generously of his time and care. He found joy in camping trips in the mountains, and he took pride in construction and building all kinds of things, always ready to create, repair, or improve what was needed. He also loved tending to his garden, nurturing growth with patience and attention. Francisco was known for his famous carne asada as well as fresh corn tamales. Singing was among his hobbies, another quiet way he shared himself with those around him. A man of service, he lived with a sense of purpose rooted in faith and a sincere concern for others.
Francisco was active in the Lion's Club and in church, offering his presence and support with humility and consistency. He was a man of few words, yet those who knew him understood the wisdom in his calm judgment. Independent and thoughtful, he was respected for making sound decisions and for living with honesty and clarity.
Above all, Francisco stood by his word. His legacy is one of loyalty, generosity, and faithful dedication—an example carried forward by the family he loved and the life he built with steady hands and a sincere heart.
