Gail was born on March 22, 1981 at Balboa Hospital in San Diego, CA. to Anna Lava Manalo and Galicano Aldea Manalo.
She attended Bethune Elementary and St Michael Academy Middle School. She played and competed in piano competitions. Even joined kung fu with her older brothers and naturally, became a black belt junior instructor alongside of them.
Gail attended Our Lady of Peace for high school. She was in volleyball, varsity swimming and was the class mascot "Superwoman". After graduation, she attended nursing school where she pursued her career as an LVN for over 20 years.
Gail enjoyed many more endeavors like surfing, fishing, off-roading and the list goes on and on! Her unwavering spirit of perseverance was unlimited to say the least.
"She can make anyone dance, sing, laugh!"
"She gives the best hugs"
"Always the loudest cheerleader"
Gail touched many lives with her boundless energy, infectious humor and great passion for discovering new things. Most of all, she loved her family deeply.
Gail was in an [electric scooter] accident resulting in a head injury. She had an emergency surgery and appeared to be doing well! She was joking around, telling the nurses how to do their job, even attempted to escape a few times and knew exactly how to turn off the alarm so she wouldn't get caught. That's Gail.
Even though her body gave way at the end, she didn't go without a fight.
Gail is survived by her loving parents, Anna & Galicano Manalo, her brothers, Ricky & Ray Manalo, and sister-in-law Racquel Manalo.
Her memory lives on with her nieces & nephews who she would always call her children, Myka, Lea, Keian, Oren & Neeko Manalo, in addition to a host of family and dearest friends who all mourn her departure.
Gail's legacy...a life marked by laughter, perseverance, and an unwavering devotion to those she loved. She will be greatly missed and forever remembered.
