Gary Greenberg (1947-2024) was a loving, affectionate, dedicated, and hardworking individual who always put the needs of others ahead of his own. Born July 30th,1947 in Long Island, New York, to father and mother Melville and Florence Greenberg. Gary was a wonderful man with many attributes but what he was well known for was his compassionate nature and giving spirit. He was always ready to lend a helping hand or offer words of comfort to whomever needed it. He was a faithful member of his church for many years and a pillar in their community. From volunteering at the daycare, playing Goliath at the annual harvest festival, or most importantly playing THE BEST Santa Claus that's ever been. Gary is survived by his older brother Scott and younger brother Randy Greenberg, his beloved wife, Elizabeth Greenberg, and five children, Michelle Shanon, Sharon Greenberg, Jennifer Haley, Nathaniel Greenberg, Ciara Bautista, and his 8 beautiful grandchildren soon to be 9. Gary radiated warmth and joy to everyone he encountered family, friend, or even stranger. He could talk to anyone about anything. Anyone who truly knew Gary knew he was a fierce Giant’s fan and an even fiercer 49er’s fan. But what comes to mind when you remember Gary Greenberg is the way he loved. The way he loved his wife, the way he loved his friends, and the way he loved his children and grandchildren. He will be deeply and truly missed by everyone who knew him. His memory will remain in our hearts and those who were honored to have had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy will live on inspiring those around him with his kindheartedness, generosity, and unforgettable spirit.
