This has been a crazy, unexpected ride that I'm still in disbelief of. Papa Jhuny was truly an amazing Papa and that is shown by how deeply sad and hurt we all are to have lost him. The impact he had on each of us is expressed in the tears and broken hearts left behind. But Papa would not want us to cry and he always told us that. While I miss him immensely, I rejoice in the many years of memories we were able to create. I will always smile when thinking of how he orders his steaks "MR" or eggs " looking at you" which always left the servers confused but made them laugh in the end. Or, how he always knew a better way to get somewhere than the GPS. His personality was one to light up a room. He was a great Dad and husband but an even better Grandfather. The love and pride he had in his grandchildren was unlike any I've ever known. He'd find a way to show strangers in a grocery store line pictures of his grandchildren and tell them all about them. Papa was truly a gem, always thinking of others and bringing endless surprises for those he loved. I love you Papa, my Diet Cokes will forever and always be a cheers to you 🤍

Nanay’s 87th birthday and Thanksgiving day 2022

We are deeply saddened by the loss of our beloved Kuya Jhunie. He brought so much joy, laughter, and pride into our lives. We will always cherish the care he showed us, especially when we were starting our journey in San Diego. His kindness, generosity, and humor will forever be remembered.

I will forever be beyond grateful and proud to have been blessed with such a loving, thoughtful, strong and cool father-in-love. Thank you for always finding reasons to make everyone smile. Thank you for always making me, my Agudo-Ambrosio family, Mikey and the twins feel SO special and loved. I thank God that he allowed you to spend a lot of time with Troy & Mischa here and in the Philippines especially in your last few months with us. Thank you for the never-ending random surprises for them and for sharing so much of your time to make memories with us that we will forever treasure. I will miss our trips, your jokes, Papa playing with the twins at home, our van rides, shopping with you, hearing your voice at your house, and our heart to heart talks in your car. Dad, no words will ever be enough to capture the depth of who you were or the love I have for you.
I could write the greatest story ever told, and it still wouldn’t do you justice. You were my biggest fan, my safe place, my guide, and my heart.
A few memories - I smile remembering how you jokingly told a church group where I worked at the mall—only for them to actually show up. Our marathon shopping trips, the way we’d hide our bags when we overdid it, teasing Mom endlessly, me writing your speeches, and your excitement every time I showed you a new outfit—because, in your eyes, I was always special- even when I didn’t see it. You always had an answer, always told me “never stress, anak,” and gave so selflessly not just to family but to everyone around you. You found joy in giving, in making us feel loved, and in making life better for everyone you met.
It’s not the same without you. I even miss worrying about you—checking if you had your jacket, wallet, phone, and keys, tracking your location, reminding you to drive safely. I miss our conversations, your laughter, crazy comments, the way you always gave me driving directions, showed me your old pictures, and told me how much you loved spending time with your grandkids and how happy we all made you.
Since you’ve been gone, so many people—even strangers—have reached out to tell me how much you impacted their lives. How you made them smile, how your kindness, generosity, and presence left a mark on them. Hearing these stories fills me with so much pride, knowing how far your love extended. But it also breaks my heart, because I miss you more than words can say.
I will never forget, Dad—not even the painful moments. I will always remember your strength, how you held my hand tightly until the very end, still putting us first so we wouldn’t worry.
Even though my heart is shattered into a million pieces, I will always be grateful for the lifetime of memories and the endless love you gave.

I would like to express my deepest condolences for Papa's passing. Papa had a knack for lighting up any room he entered, almost like he had his own personal spotlight, always armed with a quip or a clever remark that could make even the grumpiest of us crack a smile. I mean, who could forget those times when he’d show up with a little something in hand, like a magician pulling a rabbit out of a hat? It didn’t matter what it was; it was the thought that counted. Just seeing him was a gift in itself, and his presence was like a warm hug that wrapped around you.
And let’s talk about family! Papa was the epitome of what it meant to cherish those moments together. Whether it was a holiday gathering or just a casual visit with Roxy and Jay, he was always the life of the party. He had this incredible ability to make everyone feel valued, like you were the only person in the world when he was chatting with you. It’s those little things—the laughter, the stories, the warmth—that made him so unforgettable. I can already hear his voice echoing in my head, cracking jokes and making us all roll our eyes while we secretly loved every second of it.
So here’s to you, Papa! You may have left this world, but your spirit will forever be a part of our family tapestry. We’ll miss your charm, your humor, and those delightful surprises you always brought along. It's hard to imagine family gatherings without you, but I promise we’ll keep your memory alive with laughter and love.
