George served 20 years in the US Navy as a Corpsman, from 1986 to 2006. Through hard work and steadfast loyalty, he carried out his duties with care and reliability—qualities that defined him both in uniform and at home. After his service, he enjoyed 20 years of retirement in the Philippines, embracing a slower pace of life while remaining grounded in faith and gratitude.
On July 23, 1988, George married Alma Ruth C. Capati. Together they built a family rooted in love, patience, and selfless support. He was a devoted husband and a proud father to four children: George C. Capati, Richard C. Capati, Kevin C. Capati, and Kathryn C. Capati. His presence was steady and reassuring, and his generosity—offered without fanfare—left a lasting imprint on those closest to him.
George’s days were enriched by simple joys and good company. He enjoyed dancing, gardening, drinking, eating good food, swimming, and watching TV. He also loved to travel and to read, guided by a curious spirit and an appreciation for the world beyond his doorstep. In every setting, his kind heart and good humor shone through—often expressed in a quick wit, a warm smile, and a jolly way of making others feel at ease.
He also gave his time and leadership in the community as UCM President, serving with humility and a genuine desire to help. Above all, George will be remembered as humble and devoted to his family and friends—faithful, patient, and unfailingly generous in the ways that matter most.
