He was a widower for nineteen months. Preceded by his son, David, and wife, Marian.
Survived by his youngest sister, Amy Johnston (of Pennsylvania), daughter and son-in-law, granddaughter and her husband, grandson (of Washington) and three great grandsons.
Married to Marian for nearly 64 years.
Military Service: Army, nearly two years. Stationed in the Philippines end of WWII
Occupations: Carpenter about ten years; Postal Service letter carrier recognized for being a safe driver and timely delivery of mail -- retired after 28 years; Started a small children's work in Coronado, CA ministering to Navy families; Pastored a small Assemblies of God Church 5.5 years; Adult Sunday School teacher for 25 years; Various other church ministries, such as prayer, missions, visitations of shut-ins, sick and the elderly
Hobbies: Gardening, Baking, Reading, Woodworking, Juicing Vegetables
Interests: History of the U.S.A. and visiting patriotic sights
Supporting: Christian Businessmen, Teen Challenge, Missionaries, and Veterans
By far his greatest interest was to know Jesus better and share Him with others

Travel: Europe and Nigeria, July 1980; Cancun, Yucatan, Mexico, 1987 (3-generation family vacation); various states around the country (staying in touch with friends and family); cruise to Alaska (with David Jeremiah of Shadow Mtn. Community Church, in celebration of fifty years of marriage)
Received Jesus as his Savior at age 25 while attending Charles Fuller's Old Time Revival Hour in Long Beach, California. George met his wife when he was helping a missionary dig a well at an Indian Reservation in Lakeside, CA, (in San Diego County). Marian, her brother and sister-in-law were visiting the missionary. He courted her for a year or so by mail after she returned to do children's work in Wisconsin. George also assisted missionaries regularly in Calexico, CA.
