Our Beloved Georgia suddenly passed away after a fall. She was born in Paradise Valley Hospital on July 16th 1936 to Tom and Margaret Moynahan. She grew up in Kensington and attended Benjamin Franklin, Woodrow Wilson and Hoover High Schools graduating in 1954. She traveled to live in NY with her sister and attend Hofstra College. A year later she returned to San Diego to attend San Diego State University. She met her husband Bob Langhorst in High School and they were married in 1966. They had two children Rob and Beth Langhorst. She was an elementary teacher and reading specialist for the San Diego and National City School Districts until she retired. Georgia was very active in the Optimist Clubs and Organization, Retired Teachers Association and the Republican Woman. She was the former Consolation Director for St. Pius X and was a very active member of the church. She was loved by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Tommy Moynahan. Along with her husband who passed in 2009. She is survived by her children, Rob and Beth. Her sister Helen Wilson, her nieces Kathleen Bishop and Peggy Armstrong, nephews Tim Moynahan, Bud Wilson, Rob Wilson, and David Wilson along with many other family members. We will miss her forever…she left us much too soon.
A Viewing and Funeral Mass will be held at St Pius X Catholic Church for Georgia will be held Friday, December 9, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, 1120 Cuyamaca Avenue, Chula Vista, CA 91911. Following the services at St Pius X Catholic Church a graveside service will occur from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at Glen Abbey Memorial Park and Mortuary, 3838 Bonita Road, Bonita, CA 91902.
