A visitation at the chapel of the roses for Geraldine will be held Friday, January 12, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Glen Abbey Memorial Park and Mortuary, 3838 Bonita Road, Bonita, CA 91902. A funeral service at the chapel of the roses will occur Friday, January 12, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, 3838 Bonita Road, Bonita, CA 91902. A committal service will occur Friday, January 12, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM, 3838 Bonita Road, Bonita, CA 91902.

Geraldine B. McKenna

Daughter of Andrew Baird and Catherine Baird. Born and raised in Trenton, New Jersey. Married to Edward Charles McKenna for 67 years. In 1971 they moved the family to San Diego where they stayed except for two years during Ed’s Civil service assignment in Taiwan.

Jerry loved to travel and although they traveled the world, her favorite place of all was Yosemite National Park.

Throughout her life she stayed active volunteering with various organizations and attending exercise classes. Her daughters found it hard to keep up with her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Charles McKenna and parents Andrew Judiah and Catherine Floel Baird. She is survived by her three daughters Patricia Ann (Gregg) Datlof, Debra Catherine (Randall) Evans, Sandra Lee McKenna; Grandchildren Chad Vincent (Mary) Evans, Brian Edward (Samantha) Evans, Daniel Kyle (Alena) Datlof, Erin Moriah Datlof and Great-Grandchildren Kaytlyn Emily Evans, Ethan Gregory Evans, Ryleigh Elizabeth Evans and Aiden Christopher Evans.
