Geri Bantog Abdon (June 17, 2004 - December 13, 2016) was the son of Gerald Abille Abdon and Nerissa Bantog Abdon, and the brother of Gerissa Bantog Abdon and Gener Bantog Abdon. He was the youngest grandchild on both sides of the family at 12 years of age. A 7th grader at Mar Vista Academy and apart of the Viking Tech Club as the tech ambassador, Geri was known by his fellow club members as the one to contribute innovative ideas like fundraising and he also assisted others in learning how to use the iPad.
He loved to swim, collect many things, play instruments, play video games, play board games, do arts and crafts, watch TV shows, and most of all eat. He was an aspiring chef/marine biologist/computer engineer. Geri was a loving, caring and enthusiastic soul. He was very passionate for all of the things he loved to do.
At only 6 years of age, Geri was a strong little boy who was able to win the fight for his life against a brain tumor and survive his brain surgery. He loved going to school. And was always down for getting food. Geri was a very accepting little boy who was curious about everything and questioned anything that came to his mind. He was filled with an adventurous spirit and was always in the mood to explore new places along with trying new things.
He had unconditional love for the family and would always encourage family bonding everyday. He was literally the "life of the party" where his warm and loving personality created a happy aura in any environment he was in. Geri had a lot of love for God and was a devoted faithful Catholic where his family encouraged him to always stay true to what he believes in. He is loved by all and will truly be missed.
