Gladys Diaz Brady, 91, passed away on October 3, 2026. Born on August 21, 1935, in Norfolk, Virginia, Gladys will be remembered with deep respect and enduring affection by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Throughout her life, Gladys carried herself with a steady patience and a quiet resilience that helped anchor those around her. Her thoughtful nature was evident in the care she extended so naturally, and her kind-hearted spirit left a lasting impression—offered not in grand gestures, but in consistent compassion and gentle strength.
Gladys found joy and expression in dance, a love that remained close to her heart. She embraced many styles, including swing dance, ballroom dance, tap dance, ballet, and jazz—each one reflecting her grace, discipline, and the warmth she brought into every room.
She is survived by two daughters, Theresa Brady Silva and Loretta Brady, three grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
Those closest to Gladys will especially cherish the words she so often shared at the most tender moments. Whenever she hugged her family and friends, she always said, “Heart to heart.” In that simple phrase lived the essence of how she loved—steadfastly, sincerely, and with a compassion that will be carried forward by all who remember her.
