Born December 23, 1928, Harry Lee Standfuss, 96, passed away June 18, 2025 in Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center peacefully under palliative care while dreaming of golf, his long-time pastime. Until he moved into the Veterans Home of California-Chula Vista three years ago, Harry was a 70-year resident of the Los Angeles area where he had been a small business owner, stationary company representative, a talent agent and a much-loved property manager for Schultz Inc. in Burbank and Sherman Oaks.
Harry’s parents, Beatrice Lee (Sparrow) and Rolf August Standfuss, raised him on a corn and soybean farm in Renville, MN. He left the farm for San Diego to join the U.S. Marine Corps. where he served for four years. Harry was charming and cantankerous, loved jazz, and above all else his 1979 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am. He will be missed.
Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery in Renville at a time to be determined.
