My fondest memories of Mr. Swinford were most definitely the awesome stories he would tell me about his times growing up playing football.  And of course the infamous Roger Staubach stories. He lived a long an amazing life that any man would be proud of. I’m definitely going to miss his awesome handshakes and hearing that slow mid-west draw when he told his stories about life and his military career at our annual 4th of July picnics. Rest easy Mr. Swinford. You will for sure be missed.

Some of my fondest childhood memories were days and nights spent at the Swinford's house. Mr. Swinford was always so happy and he had such patience with all of us taking over his house. Plus we had the added bonus of listening to all of his great stories. I was fortunate enough to run into him and his lovely Mrs. Swinford occasionally in my adult years and he still had that great smile. I never remember seeing him without a smile on his face. He will be deeply missed, but he's leaving behind a beautiful family and a wonderful legacy. Rest in peace Mr. Swinford.

I work at Mr. & Mrs. Swinford dentist office and every time he was in our waiting room he had some interesting stories to tell. Not with out asking for my daughter first :D. 
From his days at the Navy, meeting Mrs. Swinford, knowing a famous NFL player from back in the days (Cowboys I believe) and he had a picture with him all the time, how he end up being our patient. He was always a pleasure to listen to, with his excitement on every story it  was fun to listen to, even if was the 2nd or 3rd time telling ;).
We will miss you Mr. Swinford, I am sure you are telling stories where ever you are.

I remember when I moved into the neighborhood he would say "hello how are you little boy" and it just felt like he was a really good friend also when he would speak it sounded amazing and he would make me smile. I will miss you Mr. Harvey. Nicholas, age 9 (neighbor)

We will miss you and will remember you walking across the street to talk with us.
