

IImelda Dacanay Bersamin was born on January 17, 1956, to Marcelino and Teonila Dacanay. She passed away peacefully on December 2, 2025, in San Diego, California, at the age of 69, surrounded by the love and memories of those whose lives she touched so deeply.
Imelda was a devoted wife to her husband, Jerome Bersamin, and a loving mother to her son, Trent Brice, who was the pride and joy of her life. Her family meant everything to her, and she expressed her love through constant care, encouragement, and quiet strength.
Imelda dedicated many years of her life to a distinguished career as a registered nurse. She took great pride in her profession and was deeply committed to providing compassionate, attentive, and high-quality care to every patient she served. Nursing was more than a career for Imelda—it was a calling. Her kindness, patience, and steady presence brought comfort to countless individuals and families during some of their most vulnerable moments.
Outside of her professional life, Imelda found great joy and peace in gardening. She had a special love for roses and orchids, tending to them with the same care and devotion she showed in all areas of her life. She delighted in creating beautiful floral arrangements, often displaying her creations throughout her home, which reflected her eye for beauty and her nurturing spirit.
Imelda will be remembered for her gentle heart, her dedication to service, and the love she freely gave to her family, friends, colleagues, and all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy lives on through the lives she touched, the care she provided, and the family she cherished so deeply.
A visitation will be held at Glen Abbey Memorial Mortuary, The Magnolia Room, located at 3838 Bonita Road, Bonita, CA 91902, on December 21, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, and again on December 22, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
The funeral mass is scheduled for December 23, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at St. Michael's Catholic Church, 2643 Homedale St, San Diego, CA 92139.
A graveside service will follow on December 23, 2025, from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm at La Vista Memorial Park, 3191 Orange Street, National City, California 91950.
