Irene Beatrice Hightower, 58, of San Diego, California, passed away on December 30, 2025.
She was born in San Diego in 1967 and went on to become a lifelong educator. Irene graduated from Patrick Henry High School before attending San Diego State University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree and a Masters In Education.
Irene believed that she could make the world a better place through education. She worked for San Diego Unified School District for over 33 years, where she loved the challenges of educating the next generation. At the time of her passing Irene was the Principal of Hancock Elementary School.
Irene is survived by her husband Lawrence, and her sons Peyton and Trevor, stepdaughter Brianna and her brother Karl.
