

Isaias Valero Muñoz was born July 6, 1942 in Mexico City, Mexico to Rosendo and Cecilia and grew up in Tijuana, B.C. Mexico. He had five siblings. After his father’s death at the age of 17 he moved to Compton, California with his Aunt Bertha and Uncle Jesus and eight cousins who adopted him as their own son and brother. He proudly served in the United States Navy as EM3 and received the National Defense Service medal, Vietnam Service medal and the Vietnam Campaign medal.
He married the love of his life Alejandrina R. Llamas on December 22, 1963 at a civil ceremony in Bremerton, Washington and was blessed with four children, two sons and two daughters; Marco Anthony, Arturo, Elizabeth Renee and Heidi Renee, raising them in Carson, California, Harbor City, California and eventually settled in Bonita, California.
After leaving the Navy he was employed by Douglas Furniture Inc. in El Segundo, California as an electrician, working his way up to eventually becoming Plant Manager. He then had the vision of expanding the manufacturing end of the business to Tijuana, B.C. Mexico. After many years he then branched out on his own and opened a very successful furniture manufacturing business and became a much respected, influential member and advisor to The Maquiladoras Association.
He loved spending time with his family whether it was camping at Lake Havasu, Mt. Baldy, or Big Bear, or just a simple barbeque or dinner, he truly loved his family. He also enjoyed traveling, especially to Mexico, Italy, Switzerland and Hawaii. He loved the game of golf and played as often as possible, some of his favorite courses were in Palm Desert, Real del Mar in Rosarito, B. C. Mexico and Eastlake. He appreciated the challenge of deep sea fishing, enjoyed all sporting activities, water skiing and motorcycles. He also enjoyed the game of soccer, both playing and even managed and owned a championship soccer team.
Isaias Valero Muñoz passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 in San Diego, California due to illness.
He is survived by his wife Alejandrina, his children Marco Anthony, Arturo, Elizabeth and Heidi, his grandchildren Cynthia, Joshua, Jacob, Alexandra, Gianni, Samantha, Melanie, and Ikey, his great grandchildren Lexi, Nathan, Taleeya and Miya.
Isaias Valero Muñoz leaves a legacy of an infectious smile, love, caring and the ability to connect with everyone he came in contact with. He was a charismatic, fun-loving man with a beautiful soul and a great sense of humor. He enjoyed all the small things in life, the day-to-day time spent with his family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and the life their noise brought to his home.
