6/20/1974- 7/16/16
Jack began his journey through life born in Ventura County, California on June 20, 1974. Jack was the eldest son born to Socorro Nunez and his late father Rodolfo Nunez. Survived by his mother, Socorro Nunez. Survived by his daughters Ashlee Salazar and Alyssa Nunez. Survived by his brother, Chicky Nunez. Survived by his sister's Nancy Britton and Chucky. Survived by his partner in life and love Elsa Lomeli.
After completion of High school from Channel Islands in 1992. Jack proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1996-2009 as a MM1 (SW). His heart always swelled with pride and love for his Navy family. The comradery of his brothers, sisters and his shipmates he sorely missed and cherished. Jack went on to accomplish his Bachelor's degree in the Science of Design Engineering in 2011. A devoted believer in hard work, dedication and integrity; he built a successful career in the pharmaceutical industry as an engineer.
Jack believed in living life with passion and to the fullest. Therefore, Jack worked hard, played hard and loved hard. His family and close loved ones were his priority .Everyone whom had the privilege of knowing Jack felt the light of his soul and felt his imprint on their life.
Jack was the cornerstone of his family. As a father, Jack was a fiercely devoted and loving provider and protector to his daughters. He was so proud of both of their accomplishments and their continued growth in life. Jack was a hero, best friend, and constant advocate to the happiness of his girls and family. Jack had many dreams and future plans with his love Elsa, his “ lil’ woman" in continuing their adventures together into their upcoming golden years.
His hobbies included surfing, boogie boarding, photography, hiking, traveling, tattoo's and riding his motorcycle the "Black Beauty." Anything that included adventure; zip lining, bungee jumping, and basically anything that included speed and mischievousness- Jack was going to do it standing front line because he was “ not a sissy la, la bear.” He was committed to living healthy and pushed himself and his body. The gym was his "nightclub" as he would say.
He was a loyal friend always listening and willing to give honest advice. Jack loved to reminisce and tell stories of growing up in Oxnard and in his time served in the Navy that always included "whaa whaa wee's and whaa whaa woo's" as his descriptive words. Always with a twist of humor because above all, Jack was a comedian always laughing and having people laugh along with him.
Jack, you will be sorely missed and your enormous spirit will be a forever cherished memory in our hearts. You are deeply loved by many.
Please bring your beach chairs, canopies, swim wear and towels to Jack's Celebration of Life. He wished for everyone to join together in fond remembrance.
