James Jacobs (Jimmy, JJ) was my brother. I only had the pleasure of being with him later in both of our lives. I regret not being able to spend more time with him, because he was a great person. JJ would naturally draw people in with his enthusiasm and smile. He loved his wonderful families. And he was so lucky to be around people his whole life who were kind and loving.
JJ always loved dancing, and if there were music and a dance floor, even better! He would get everyone around to dance too. He also loved art and would make his own birthday cards for friends and family. He loved the Padres, and visiting the Zoo where he read all the descriptions on the enclosures, and Sea World, and really any field trip.
And he loved his cat, Tuxedo. He was able to take care of it himself and was very conscientious, as well as with his work and family. He was very proud of his work and really liked earning his own money.
JJ went through a period of time where he was obsessed with the TV series “Walker, Texas Ranger” starring Chuck Norris. When the series ended, he had everyone who was willing hunt down video tapes so he could watch them whenever he wanted. He knew what he liked.
Most of all, James was a kind-hearted, innocent soul who loved life and what it had to offer… such a great way to live!
