First few years of his life they lived in Alamogordo, New Mexico. Soon they moved to Roseville, CA where the young Jimmy attended school and graduated from Roseville High School. Shortly there after he enlisted in the United States Navy and was based in San Diego, CA.
In San Diego he met his wife. The young couple moved to Roseville, CA where their family grew by 2. They were blessed with 2 sons. Younger son named James Navarro Jr. Who grandpa Joe nicknamed Pee-Wee. Older son Joseph Raymond Navarro who is called Ray.
Years later the small family moved to San Diego. Here he purchased a home and placed new roots. Next phase of his life was to open a restaurant, Maria's Hacienda. Being a restaurant owner was not as easy as was thought. Restaurant ownership was left behind.
The couple that once was, was no longer. Jimmy decided to remain in San Diego, where his children were and his roots had been planted.
Sooner than he thought he would be a grandfather to bouncy baby boy Joseph Navarro, son of Ray & Lisa Navarro. As years passed more little blessings arrived to Ray & Lisa. Jimmy received 4 more grand daughters. Lanicia, Elaura, Reylina, & Raylyssa Navarro. The family has grown by leaps & bounds. Joseph married Mary Navarro and their son, (Jim's great grandson) Joseph Navarro arrived. Lanicia married Danny Liera. Great grand children Jaiden, Danny James (DJ), and Alina Liera added blessings to the family. Elaura married Jason O'Niel, and with another precious great granddaughter Isabella (Bella). Very recently Raylyssa married Duncan Hathaway, and great granddaughter Delilah Rose Hathaway arrived.
The last years of his life Jimmy, called Tata by his grandkids, lived with Grandson Joseph, Mary & lil Joseph (Seppie to Tata). He no longer ventured out further than a local neighborhood store for cigarettes. The majority of his time he spent sitting in his front yard smoking and talking with his family.
James Navarro Sr. Was not a rich man nor a famous man, although there is a pool shot called "The Jimmy Navarro" in Roseville, CA. He was truly loved. One thing his family knows he lived his life as he wanted. Rest in peace Jimmy!!
