

Jo Nell “Jody” Page Rumsch went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 2, 2018 at the beautiful age of 94 years. Her devotion to family and friends and her firm belief in God gave her hope and peace as she waited for her appointed time to return home.
Jo Nell was born to the late George and Zela Page, a transportation pioneer and homemaker in Big Springs, Texas on October 24, 1923. Jo Nell grew up in Abilene, TX, graduating from Abilene High School and attended Hardin Simmons College for one year before meeting and marrying Orville Rumsch on June 1, 1941. Orville proceeded her in death April 4, 2003. They were blessed with 62 years of marriage.
Jody was blessed with a loving family which she cherished and loved deeply. She raised her 3 children in the ways of the LORD the same way she was raised by instilling integrity, honesty, hospitality and a willingness to serve. She would tell you that her children bought her great joy however her precious grandchildren were the best reason for having children. She made every opportunity to be involved in their activities and accomplishments while praying for them daily.
Jody used her talents for financial and record organization, trustworthiness and attention to detail to faithfully serve her beloved church, Pilgrim Lutheran. She also never lost her passion for learning which led her to a career as a travel consultant and gave her the opportunity to travel around the world.
Jo Nell is survived by children Orville “Bill” Rumsch, wife Debi, Penny Anderson, Beverly Stevens, husband Danny; Vince Anderson; brother, Bill Page wife Louise; grandchildren: Jacqueline Smith husband Edward, Traci Large, husband Justin, Shane Stevens, wife Jennifer, Clay Stevens, Nicholas Anderson, fiancee Courtney, Cole Stevens, wife Chelsea, Jenna Anderson, Sister in law, Janet Rumsch; 12 great grandchildren and loving nieces and nephews. Jody was predeceased by son, Russell David and grandson, Matthew Harrison.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 22 from 4-7pm at Glen Abbey MemorIal with
Service Friday morning at 10am, Pilgrim Lutheran Church/Victory Church, Chula Vista CA
