Joaquin aka “Kin” was called home to rest by our Heavenly Father at the age of 79 at home with his family by his side. He was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather & Great Grandfather.
Our father was born on September 1, 1940 to parents ♱Gregorio and ♱Rosa Acfalle on Guam. As a young boy he left school to help out his family financially. He married the love of his life, ♱Lourdes Guerrero Sablan and had three children Ken, Frank and Lorraine while on Guam before moving his family to San Diego in 1966 for better opportunities. They completed their family with their youngest child Yvonne “Bonnie”. He was a Civil Service employee working under the department of Public Works. He was also a Naval Reservist attached to a Construction Battalion. He had a wealth of knowledge making him a jack of all trades.
Our father was a man who was stern yet kind, serious yet funny, strong but gentle and full of integrity. He had a smile that could fill a room and was loved by all whom he came in contact with.
He was well known in the Chamorro Community and everyone enjoyed his annual Novena celebrations.
