When I was a child, I was afraid of Uncle Joe. The things he had experienced in the war made it hard for him to be around noisy little brats, and that's exactly what I was. My grandma told me that she loved him; that he was her little boy, and that I should love him, too. As I grew older, I found that he had a warm personality, a super-dry sense of humor, and a deep love for people. I'm sure that those are the traits that he has carried on with him, and I'm also sure that grandma, grandpa, and the brothers and sisters that went on before him are happy to have him home. My condolences to his family, especially Tim and Sue. Requiescat in pace, Tio, por siempre.
