

Juan was a carpenter for most of his life, it was something he enjoyed greatly. He worked until an advanced age of 90 years old. A World War II Veteran, who received a purple heart medal for his bravery. He came to the USA, San Diego in 1986 with his wife Salvacion.
On March 24, 1944 he married the love of his life Salvacion and together they had 11 children: Pepito, Perla, Lilia, Lorna, Carmen, Ruben, Juan Jr, Victoria, Jesus, Roy and Ariel. Over time, their family grew to include 15 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
During his free time, Juan enjoyed and loved working with his hands as a Carpenter. He was always busy doing repairs around the house, he was always willing to help his family and friends. He was hardworking, determined, proud and cared a lot for his family.
Juan passed away on October 18, 2015 in his home surrounded by the family he loved. He was a loving father, husband and grandfather. Juan lived his life to the fullest and showed strength of character until the age of 99 years and 9 months, 3 months shy of being centenarian. It would have been a grand celebration. He will be missed greatly by his loved ones, family and friends. His services are being handled by Glen Abbey Mortuary.
