

Juanito Munar Rosario was born on June 29, 1926 to Victor and Constancia Rosario in Urbiztondo, Pangasinan, Philippines where he grew up along with seven siblings, Fidela, Wesfrimando, Nena, Corazon, Teodora, Elaria and Lorenzo.
At a young age, Juanito met and fell in love with Adoracion Dumlao and the couple exchanged wedding vows on July 14, 1958. The wedding ceremony was held in the city of Mangatarem, Philippines. Juanito and Adoracion were blessed with nine children, Joel, Joseph, Jonathan, Antonieto, Juanito Jr., John, Jocelyn, Ethelinda and Joyce. Later in life they received the joy of 18 grandchildren.
Fortunately, Juanito enjoyed what he did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Juanito worked diligently and did his best to succeed in his career. Juanito worked for the Philippine Department of Health as a Traveling Coordinator for 30 years.
Juanito enjoyed his leisure time by taking part in various activities including; singing, playing musical instruments, gardening, hunting and motorcycling. Juanito was always happy and willing to share his interests with others. He contributed in the Leprosy Control Program for the Department of Health for the Philippine Government. He identified the most number of Leprosy cases the in visayas and made it in the front page news in his home town in the Philippines.
Juanito left us on January 19, 2012 at the age of 87. He passed away at Scripps Mercy Hospital in Chula Vista, California after a battle with Cancer. He is survived by his wife Adoracion, sons: Joel, Joseph, Jonathan, Antonieto, Juanito Jr., John and daughters, Jocelyn, Ethel and Joyce. Services were handled by Glen Abbey Mortuary. A Funeral Service was held at Glen Abbey’s The Little Chapel of the Roses on February 3, 2012. Juanito was later laid to rest at Glen Abbey Memorial Park in Bonita, California.
