Merry Terry born June Leona Bunch (DOB 03-03-1918) in Terre Haute, Indiana. Her father was the Rev. Matthew Bunch a pastor in the Cumberland Presbyterian Church who was an inspired organizer for the United Mine Workers of America.
Her mother was Laura Bunch (Smiddy) a school teacher and mother of 7 children. She "retired" in Chula Vista, CA for 51 years after a career as a Naval Officer's wife. She and her devoted husband Alfred Gordon Terry lived and traveled all over the world and experienced many adventures. She enjoyed Bridge, Golf and a good Margarita. A very classy, beautiful and generous woman, she had many friends and touched many hearts. She had a long life, a fearless spirit and the sweetest golf swing that was pure poetry in motion.
She is survived by her remaining sibling, Isabelle Welch of Ohio and her only child, Gordon Terry who lives with his loving wife Susan in San Diego.
