

Katherine Jean McCarron, 85, of Imperial Beach, California, passed away Thursday, March 30th, in her home surrounded by family. She was born on October 21, 1931 in Phoenix, Arizona to Katherine and Homer Sutfin, and was the oldest of three girls.
Her professions included telephone operator, travel agent, gift shop owner and homemaker. She married the love of her life Lawrence McCarron of Los Angeles and enjoyed 56 1/2 years with him.
She also enjoyed traveling, finding bargains, and spending time with her family and friends. She kept active with her participation in groups such as the Palm City Women’s Club, Ladies of the Eagles, Ladies of the Nile, The Red Hatters, and the Fleet Reserve Association Auxiliary.
Laughter was a big part of her life as well as her ability to always find the positive in things.
Katherine is survived by her sister and brother-in-law Delores and Chet Wisner, her daughter and son-in-law Marylou and Gerald Guevin, her son Lawrence McCarron, grand-daughter Sarah Kirkpatrick, grandson and grand daughter-in-law Gregory and Jennifer Guevin, and 4 great-grandchildren Sierra and Reece Kirkpatrick and Grant and Elora Guevin.
